Hi, im new to the forums, but i've been lurking around here for a few weeks.
And after finding out how terrible in quality my original ipod earbuds are (they also give me headaches)
I'm looking to get some new closed headphones or ear canal headphones. Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what i should get, I'm also looking for some that are portable, so I can take them to school.
Im only looking to spend around 75 dollars hopefully less

.
While i've looked at the grados sr60's i dont want to get them because I don't want everyone around me to hear my music. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and after I spend some more time lurking I hope to contribute to these forums.
(sorry if im posting this in the wrong place)

I second this. I actually just bought a pair for a friend and he's loving them. Good intro IEM.

Sennheiser PX100s for headphones and CX-300s for earphones. Also other earphones to consider are the UE Super.fi 3, Metro.fi, and maybe the Super.fi 4s if you can find them cheaper.

I'm not too sure about the XB (I reckon they're pretty good) but the XBi (not to be confused with the XB) are too bassy; the bass overpowers everything else. I quite like the X3i, they can be had for the same price.

And I second the Yuins

I'd like to thank you all for your replies, and for the person who asked what i listen to, I listen to a bit of everything.

Right now im thinking about picking up some cx300's then getting some Grados sr60s for around my house. Would this be a good idea, or is there a better iem for the combined price of those two.
