My sony d66 finally broke after 3 year of use. I'm in the market for a new pair. I mostly listen to hip-hop/pop/techno and the occasional rock on my iriver h320

If you don't want an amp I would go with the Ax00s. Impactful deep bass and beautiful highs. Good for electronica and hip-hop (at least I would assume so, not much of a hip - hop listener myself). Audiocubes is the place to go for them and they are a head-fi sponsor.

If you are coming from sony < $100 then my wote is for ATH-A500. You'll

immidiately.
