I go to the gym regularly and had iphone 5 ear buds. They blew the last generation's earbuds out of the water, but they broke recently and I need to purchase some new ones. I was wondering if there were any earbuds out there that are better than the new apple earbuds and are catered more towards fitness? My budget is under $100.

For your budget, I'd say you can't go wrong with Bose IE 2. The $200 Westone Adventure Serie's Alpha would be a better choice for the gym.

Perhaps one of the best all around sports headphones you can get in this price range would be the Yurbuds Signature series.  If you are more into pumping bass, for 10 less dollars you can get the Yurbuds Ironman Series.  I have been using Yurbuds for years.  My first pair of Ironman series broke, but that was the cord getting worn out.  It was a different cord then.  More of a rubber material.  The heat and elements finally got it.  Now its a Kevlar, cloth coated cord.
