Need information about Headsave CLassic

Hello.
First of all bear with me that i dont know anything ( i mean anything ) at all about headphone amp.
actually the only thing i know about headphone amp is :

- source ---> headphone amp ----> headphone = gooodd....
- source ---> headphone = not so good ?

hehe...
anyway, ive been browsing through amplification section, and found that this Headsave classic probably suits my budget the most.

I am thinking to get a headphone amp that will be teamed with source such as NAD C521BEE or NAD C542 cd player. will this be ok ?
and for the headphones, well, i currently only have those low impedance ATH (see my rig), i might get other phones in the future (maybe with higher impedance ones).
Will this amp work well with all sort of headphones impedance (high and low)?
and say, my combo is:

NAD C521BEE + Headsave classic + A900

how much improvement am i looking for here, compared to just listening to my A900 straight from my discman ?
i know for enthusiasts, 10 or 20% improvement is a huge improvement, but since i dont have so much money to spare, i dont think i can afford to spend a few hundred bucks for new rig unless if there is a major improvement.

If im not mistaken, just like headphones, amps' sound can be characterised as well, such as a bit bright, a bit bassy, etc.. so what does this Headsave Classic fall into?

Lastly, since my budget cant be more than roughly US$150, is there any other headphone amp that i should consider apart from this one ?

Sorry for the many questions guys, but i know nothing about headphone amp....

Right now there isn't much news on the classic, but tons should come rolling in in the next few weeks. From my guess, it should be a great all-rounder bang-for-buck amp.

Yes, the Classic is a new amp. Norm at headsave only started taking orders for them about 2 or 3 weeks ago, so the first amps have only recently been shipped. I was one of the first to order a classic, and mine should be arriving within a week. I will post my impressions (for what they're worth- I'm still pretty new to this hobby

) a few days after it arrives.
