But last question..

What is it that makes the X-Can V8 so laid back? Is it the different tubes vs the X-can V3, or is it the transistor output stage(which I cannot change!)??

The sharpness(harshness) I can fix with some sylvania tubes, but will that also change why its so laid back and 'boring'

??

I don't know.
I only know you can't change it with different tubes.
I like it for it's eazy, refined power
