So, I am looking to get a new pair of IEMs to replace the Shure SE210 that I am currently using. My budget is $300. I have been looking heavily at Livewires (from the NA office) as I have heard many good things about them. Any other recommendations?

Also, how long do customs usually fit before they need to be re-dipped? I don't want to spend 300 bucks on some phones only to have them not fit in a year.

Thanks!

If the LiveWires are around $249 I would recommend you give them a try. I am very happy with the fit, comfort, issolation and most important for me the sound quality that customs provide. I'm not recommending to you what I have, ue11's, because they're way over your budget. But what I'm trying to relay is the great preformance that custom's provide. If you are interested in reading or seeing pic's, just click on link in my sig, in the first part I do cover what I went through w/audiologist. Good luck and have fun selecting, do let us hear what you select

how old are you?? that will impact on how long between fittings. I myself chose not to bother with 'entry level' customs as I considered I would actually take a SQ hit going from running my SE530 or Westone 3 with UM56 custom sleeves. I decided to wait until I could afford to go all out and get the custom I wanted, which at the time was UE10, but now turns out to be ES3X as it sounds like much more my cup of tea, not so dry as UE10 and not so overtly warm as UE11 and i'm ordering in a months time; nearly there.
