Sorry for the newbie question, but I recently got a Fiio E09K amp to power my AKG Q701s. I just wanted to ask what is the proper way to use it? Does it matter if I plug in the headphones first, and then turn it on, or should I turn on the amp first and then plug the headphones in, or it doesn't matter? I just wanted to ask just in case since I don't want to damage my Q701s by improperly using the amp.

Guess it's a little safer to have the headphones unplugged when turning power on or off.

O ok thank you. So, I'm also guessing it's bad to leave the headphones plugged in right?

I guess part of it is on how the headphone amplifier was designed.
I can't really say from head amp to head amp, which is safer to leave headphones plugged in.
But I'm sure there as been lots of time when someone has turn an amplifier on or off and not affect (damaged) the headphones.
