I can't believe how stupid I am to let this happen... but here is the situation.

I just receive my Juli@ sound card today. The sound card sounds great, how ever, I am interested to add more improvement to it so I ordered three LM4562 and some other opamp to swap the original JRC4580 on the sound card. But here is the problem...

THE NEW OPAMP WOULD NOT FIT
The JRC 4580 is much smaller than the LM4562, perhaps around 3/5 of the width of the LM4562. Which means, the pins would barely touch the socket if it does at all. Anybody here care to tell me what should I do? should I add some stuff, or is there a certain trick I can use to ensure I am safely swap the opamps, thank you.

anyone have suggestion of how can I fix this?

tried, failed badly, nvm XD

From looking at the datasheet (http://semicon.njr.co.jp/njr/hp/prod...TAIL_MOVE_SPEC), it appears they have some rather strange SMD packages for this, none of which appear to be the typical SOIC-8 package. The LM4562 only apppears to be available in an SOIC package (other than DIP and TO99). Not sure what you can do about this other than to pick another opamp. Maybe an LM6172? Some OPA flavor?

Yeah, the one on the Juli@ is the SSOP8 version...
I just tried to mod it, but then failed because the board was so fragile that the trace peeled off while I only tried to cut a leg.... what makes it worse? I can't really see it until the chips are off =_=...... I completely ruined the traces around the opamp..... I was looking at it for a long long long time..... trying to figure out how to fix it... then I suddenly realized that =_=....

I tried to mod the wrong chip XD I was working on the opamp of line out....
Glad for that silly mistake XD
