Need Help on Headphone Recommendation

Hi,
I'm brand new to headphones and need advice from some experts. I'm a senior citizen with tinnitus and probably some hearing loss as well. I especially have trouble understanding dialogue on TV shows and DVDs. I try to compensate by turning the volume way up. This usually helps me understand spoken words only a little bit better, but the higher volume sure does upset my wife.

Can anyone recommend headphones that might help me better understand spoken words on TV shows and DVDs?

For t.v use. I would use a pair of sennheiser hd 30 or hd 62. They have good clear sound, and the volume does not need to be loud.
