So I decieded I would like to own dt 770. And one thing boggles me, could I buy them used? Do they break alot? And is it safe to buy used? Once I saw them for around 100bucks thats two times cheaper then new ones in Linthuania.

Well you could if the seller ships internationally, and the whole safe thing depends on the seller also.I think you can trust someone with positive..

They are pretty well build, mine have fallen few times, and working fine.
Also there's a great site Thomann Cyberstore that sells them for 129 euro + shipping.
Thats where I got mine, and it costed alot cheaper than buying them localy.

The build quality of the DT770 is good. I wouldn't think twice about buying a used pair for $100 as long as I had information of past transactions from the seller.

I own a pair, but I bought new. I almost never buy used gear because to me it's worth the extra money to take the risk (even a limited risk) out of the equation.

DT770 is rock solid, I couldn't see this breaking easily.

I try to always buy used because headphones are actually a pretty simple design and very rarely go bad if treated properly.

Try to buy on here if you can. This is a great community and nearly everyone has pleasant transactions. Although I've had nearly 200 transactions on Ebay, and I've never been burned once. Not saying its not possible, just not likely.

To me, saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars buying used is worth the (tiny) risk.

No worries. The DT770 are build like a tank.
I bought mostly all my headphones second hand. Much cheaper.
