Hi everyone and good day!
Can someone help me choose the best earphone for sleeping. I will just use it for listening white noises. The main priority of this earphone is the amount of isolation it would get.
I have done some research but my main problem is that I don't have the concept on the isolations of these earphones. It would be nice if you can give me a visual idea on how much noise would they supress. Like how much noise would it supress when I'm using the earphone while there is a jackhammer ( or any other noisy elements ) on the background.
Here are the list of things that I had came across.
1.) KZ Ate - This is the headphone that I had ordered since it had a long nozzle and I was thinking that it would isolate sounds more but upon further research, my guess is that there are other earphones that could do better on supressing sounds.
2.) Ultimate Ears 100 - It looks like they are great at isolating noises based on the reviews that I had read on this link https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears-100-Noise-Isolating-Earphones/dp/B003YKG2UU
3.) Uiisii HM7 - They had metal casing and I was thinking that it would supress the outside noise even better and also base on this reviews. https://www.amazon.com/Headphones-UiiSii-Earphones-In-line-Isolating/product-reviews/B018FVS944
4.) Earphones on this list filtered by their isolation levels. But there are earphones that I don't have any access to. http://theheadphonelist.com/headphone-list/?model_search=&headphone_price1=1&headphone_price2=20&average_rating1=0&average_rating2=10&sound_rating1=0&sound_rating2=10&build_rating1=0&build_rating2=5&isolation_rating1=3&isolation_rating2=5&comfort_rating1=0&comfort_rating2=5µphone_rating1=0µphone_rating2=5&accessibility_rating1=0&accessibility_rating2=5
5.) JVC Marshmallow.
6.) Moniprice Hi-Fi Reflective Sound Tech - I had read that they are great at noise isolation base on this review. http://www.head-fi.org/t/750761/new-iems-from-monoprice-hi-fi-reflective-sound-technology-earphones
I've read that the best earphone for noise isolation is the etymotics but my main problem is their comfort and the price. Since I'll be using them for sleeping purpose only there is a chance that they wouldn't last that long for me so I've decided to test the cheaper in ear ones and then decide from there. I'm also open if you have encountered a better earphone for this purpose. It would be nice if they are cheap, from $10-15+.
I would also like to add that I had tried the noise cancelling earphones. Specifically ath-anc23 and sony mdr nc13. I've found out that sony seems to do better than ath at least for me. Ath seems to do a poor job on getting rid of sudden background noises compared to sony. I came to think that it might be because sony has a better noise isolation than ath since I can put it deeper in my ear canal, but it might be that their technology is good also. That's the reason why I was thinking of going to the noise isolation route.
