Hey guys,

This is my first post on head-fi. I am from India,Bangalore and love listening to Linkin Park , Limp Bizkit , Metallica and other bands of the same genre. I listen to music using some pretty crappy headphones but with a pretty nice mp3 player , the transcend mp-320. I am currently listening to music with my Panasonic RP-HS8. Very crappy for the price. I will post a review on it soon.

Now i am on the look out for a good pair of headphones. My budget is 15-16 US $ which is about 800 to 900 rupees. I have done some research and have made a list of headphones.

1.Logitech ultimate ears 100 (600 - 800 rupees ~ i.e 12.50 to 14 US $ ~)
2.Sennheiser cx 280 (299 rupees from local seller i.e ~6 US $)
3.Sennheiser cx 300 (399 rupees from local seller i.e ~7 US $)
4.Sennheiser cx 400 (499 rupees from local seller i.e ~8 US $)
5.Beats by Dr.Dre MD-91 (pretty sure this is fake) ( 350 rupees i.e ~7 US $)

Can you guys suggest the best out of all these headphones in terms of sound quality ? And also can you suggest better headphones for my budget?

Thanks,
Vijay.

P.S :- Pretty tight budget. In India spending 200 rupees (3.5 US $) for headphones are considered expensive by the locals. I have also read and seen the reviews of all the above headphones.

Welcome to the Site.

Can you give a listen to those headphones? Best way to judge them.

Joe Bloggs has a thread about some 10 dollar Phillips sounding pretty good.

Have a look around, and I am sure some of the Pros will chime in too.

Again, Welcome, Jim

If you can get your hands on them, SoundMAGIC ES18 is $10.99, exact same sound as E10 which is a $35 'phone.

JVC HA-FX101 is $10.99, too. Better than the previous FXFX1X model, which is a little under $30.
