Guys....

Various sellers are not allowed to sell to the UK. What I am looking for is an anglophile who will volunteer to take on a bit of extra work.

You must have decent feedback/or be well known here.

After that, it is a case of being the US postal address for the order, then sending it on to me in the UK.

Why? Well, certain items here cost the same in £ as in $ making the US nearly 50% cheaper.

PM me if you can help. I'm not offering big rewards, but I'd cover expenses!

Cheers

Well........ I buy the item and pay as normal, putting your US address down. Or, I pay you via paypal and you buy the goods to your address.
Then send them to me.
The seller can't legally send them to the UK, but you can!

The trust issue is you sending the item, not keeping it! I take the risk! you just offer your time!

SAP7 remember to watch out that you will get hit for the tax when transatlantic parcels come in, which can often bring the amount of money saved surprisingly close to what you might have paid in the first place without all the rextra postage and fees.

Of course, part of the "sending the package on" to the Uk would involve some minor adjustments/revaluing.
Don't make me say too much in the open. Theres no rule to say the US volunteer couldn't then send them on as a cheap gift?!!!

Then you take the risks involved with that. Firstly, they may open up the parcel to confirm its contents. If what is in the parcel is obviously worth more than what is claimed you may get into trouble. Secondly, you cannot insure the contents of the parcel for more than they are stated to be worth. So if something goes wrong with the postage, then you stand to lose a lot.

As I say, its s risk, how much of a risk you think it is, is up to you. But I would advise some common sense, valuign a parcel down by a small amount to insert it into a lower tax bracket might be okay, but if someone is posting a $350 pair of headphones and marking them as worth $25. Thats upping the ante a bit.

For £400 cans at $400 prices, Its a risk I have taken many times. E500's are too much here!
And, I'm the proud owner of some GS1000's at a price £600 below UK. That was a risk that worked!

Life's about risks (I suppose you can just afford to pay? I can't).

I dont order from the usa much at all (2 parcels ever) and only oen of those was worth much money. So yeah, I wasnt goign to ask the seller to undervalue it.

I appriciate your standpoint, I was just throwing up some disscussion.
