Hello every one. Im new to this site.
U can consider me newbie audiophile, so maybe you can assist me on a few things.
I got a general idea about sound from this website. So off the bat what i need is a superioir portable mp3 player (ipod is too mediocre) and a good headset to go along with it.
Considering the place i live is not permanent so building a fully amped system is not possible.
I have been searching and im a little overwhelmed with all headsets and mp3 devices.
I listen to amon tobin (very deep and bass heavy) and old school rap mostly which are quite bass heavy.
I have a set of dre beats which im ultimately not too satisfied with for the price and build quality . After searching i found v-moda which might be what im looking for...any advice on this? Also, more importantly i really dislike the sound quality of ipods. Is Fiio a good option? There r others i found but aster and stern seem nice but quite steep in price.
Mind u its not about the money, if i feel its worth it than im willing to buy it. Can you guys assist me in this?
For what i require,(bassy+analytical+lush - see? Im learning already :p) what is the best mp3 and headphones for a price that i will not have to sell my soul to the devil for? Again i understand its not as good as an amped system but that will be too risky for me at this time...
One last thing, it seems that wireless does not provide the best sound, but it still seems like a good option to have incase (i travel alot). So i prefer to have both wired and wireless capabilities.
Thanks:)

I use the FiiO X3 2nd gen and it's pretty great for the price. Maybe find a pair of Sennheiser HD1 Bluetooth version (comes with cable as well) new or used. They have good bass but are also pretty clear
