Hi guys,
To make a long story short I have a Chuwi Hi8 Pro Win10 tablet that I would like to turn to a DAP.
The tablet has those outputs and I need to find the cheapest and best sound quality :
1) USB-C : It has only 1 usb-c port so if i'm charging i can't connect any device (usb hubs tend not to work with this device according to CHUWI's forums)
2) Micro HDMI : my preferable choice - If i could extract only the audio through micro hdmi output and convert it to SPDIF (without losing the video on the tablet itself) it would be perfect because my stereo amp is Marantz PM-6005 and it has an excellent DAC with optical (spdif) input. The question is how can this be achieved ?
3) 3.5MM jack : are there DACs with 3.5MM input and spdif or rca output ? are those any good ?
I am running Plex client on the tablet (windows store app 32-bit only) because the tablet doesn't work well with 64 bit OS and the official Plex app from their website is 64 bit only so it's not an option.
Thanks in advance guys !
