As the title says I need help figuring out what headphones I should get.

Right now I am looking at getting a good set of Closed cans.
I would also like them to have decent noise isolation, not active noise canceling, so when my roommates are watching tv/playing games it wont be quite as distracting for me.

Currently I own a pair of HD650s and I love the way they sound. So I decided that instead of buying a cheap pair of closed can I want spend a little more just to make sure that I am getting something that sounds as good or better than my current headphones. Which is why I set my budget to be around $350.

Comfort is a pretty big deal for me too, not quite as important as audio quality. Which is why I am mainly looking at over-the-ear cans but if you know of a pair of on-the-ear that feel like cuddling with kittens and breasts I would also be interested in those... So long as they sound good too.

So far from the little bit of research I have done it seem like either the Mr Speakers Alpha Dog or the Oppo PM-3 would be the best option for my price range, assuming I am able to get them used.

Is there any other headphones you think I should consider? Are the ones I picked bad? Did I set my budget to high? Please let me know in the comments!

P.S.
The new headphones don't have to sound like the HD650s they just have to be as good as the HD650s in quality.

P.P.S.
Would my current Amp(Schiit MAGNI 2 Uber) be able to run the headphones I'm looking at getting?

P.P.P.S.
Also I'm kinda interested in getting, if the sound quality would be much better than the closed cans, a set of open Planar Magnetic cans. I have been looking at the HiFiMan HE-500 but they are really pushing the limits of my budget(occasionally they go for 400-430 on eBay.) So if you feel that open is way better than closed and I should just deal with what noise there is in my apartment, which isn't too much, let me know and post what you think I should get.

If you can get the alpha dogs for 350.00 then your search for closed headphones is over you do not need to look any further, kudos to you on that one. P.S make sure you have an amp not an expensive one just a decent one and you will have a excellent and I mean excellent closed can.

If you can stretch your budget 50.00 dollars more you might be able to get something like the th600 or the Pandora vi , used of course but still two great closed headphones, the th600 are semi open though.

Would the Alpha Dog still be better than those 2? Because I can get the Pandora VI for $330 of of eBay right now.

Never heard the Pandora. I have the TH600, HE500, and Alpha Dogs though. My favorites are the Alpha Dogs. Alpha Dogs you can adjust the high end and the bass, but they sound sensational with the stock settings. TH600's have the most bass and a better soundstage than the HE-500, which I'm told is probably wrong because HE-500 are open but I'm going to stick to it!

HE-500's are awesome sounding too but the cable just drives me nuts, I just can't seem to be able to straighten it out.

Alpha Dogs have a great soundstage and lots of clarity but at the same time silky smooth highs. Very fun to listen to.

Awesome, that is the type of advice I'm looking for! The Alpha dog is and has been at the top of my list for closed cans.

I heard both the Pandora video and the alpha dogs I prefer the Pandora video due to the slight better detail retrieval the vividness of the sound compared to the alpha dog plus it sounds fabulous even without an amp can plug into any portable device and sound like a extreme hifi headphone. The alpha dogs are better off you are going to stick with an amp and at home.
