Hey i just entered the audiophile world by getting myself a pair of Grado SR-80i's. I absolutely love the sound but unlike many of the pairs of headphones i have owned before, these make me want to make them last for a longer time not the 6 months or so they usually do for me.
From what i understand the way to accomplish this is by changing the stock cable to a quadbraided wire with nylon sheathing and a quality plug. However I’m on a really tight budget and i was wondering where I would find the cheapest and most durable premade cable, or all the materials that I would need to make one myself. I’m not very handy with tools but I would give it a try to save some $.
Also got to mention I’m from Romania (eastern Europe) so shipping from the us is usually a lot. Thanks in advance and all the best.
