I'm contemplation purchasing an audiophile grade headphones and desktop AMP/DAC with a budget of  around $600. I listen daily to more than 3 hours of music everyday from art pop, IDM, ambient electronica, some experimental, female vocalists, to hip-hop and contemporary folk from time to time. 95% of my audio files are 320 kbps and I listen to them either from PC source or iPod classic. I'm don't know if a neutral headphones would suite my taste. Currently I own two budget friendly shure 440 and audio technica ad700 and looking for a substation upgrade.

I wonder if HeadRoom Total BitHead & Denon D2000 Package will fit my needs or shall I invest in D5000 instead?

I'm open to suggestions

Lets see, your thinking of ordering that Bithead & AH-D2000 package for $479.
When you can buy the parts separately for $370.
AH-D2000 $210 (Electronics Expo)
Bithead $149 (Amazon)
Fiio L cable $10 (Amazon)

The Fiio E11 headphone amplifier is only $65, cheaper then the Bithead ($149).
The iPod should do a decent job of powering the AH-D2000 without an add-on amplifier.
The DAC Destroyer $50 (USB/DAC) would work great, hooked up between the PC source and the E11.

Thank you so much!

Isn't Bithead supposedly better than Fiio E11 + DAC Destroyer configuration, audio-wise I mean?

Also what if I bought instead D5000 + TubeMagic D1 DAC? It will cost more but I'm looking into investing for a 5 year audio system. Please let me know if I'm being realistic or better alternatives. Thanks

Hmmmmmm what about Shure SRH940? any recommendations

I have no idea on Bithead vs. Fiio E11/DAC Destoryer sound quality wise, I just know what is a cheaper price.
I have a DAC Destroyer that will be arriving in a few days, I'll test it with my E11.
And I know nothing about the AH-D5000 or TubeMagic D1.
