Bought a pair of DT 48 online, but the docs in the box don't have any indication to the mfg date or exact model (the box itself is not the cardboard one with the features, but the black storage one Beyer supplied).
Does anyone have an idea of what model (and hence impedance, since the info printed on the driver is gone) these are and what year they were made?
There is a problem with the headphones - it looks like the y-splitter is not properly soldered inside, causing the headphones to drop out in the left ear.
I want to buy a replacement cable off one of the uk ebay sellers and install it and that obviously needs opening the capsules.
Would anyone be able to post some pics to how to open the driver capsule without screwing anything up? (the silver thing on the outside of the capsule sort of looks like a screw, but it has 2 holes instead of the usual screw tracks, which really makes me wonder whether its a way of opening or breaking them)
