need help about headphones

Hello guys, probably it has been asked, written but believe me i read much but i dont understand some points. I have Hifiman re400 and iphone 6. Do i need an dac/dap? I want to use tidal, do you think it will be effective with iphone?

I don't think you need a amp for those unless they are not getting loud enough for you and I recommend not listening too loud but that is the father in me.

Yes, as long as you select HiFi in the Tidal app settings

Amping it should help but by no means do you absolutely need one. Perhaps if you ever decide to collect some lossless files in a desktop environment then you'd benefit from a nice dac and amp

You'll just have headaches going from iTunes syc/streaming to drag n drop+scan on DAPs.
