I don't think you need a amp for those unless they are not getting loud enough for you and I recommend not listening too loud but that is the father in me.

Amping it should help but by no means do you absolutely need one. Perhaps if you ever decide to collect some lossless files in a desktop environment then you'd benefit from a nice dac and amp

You'll just have headaches going from iTunes syc/streaming to drag n drop+scan on DAPs.
