Looking to spend 100 or less on decent headphones, but actually have a good mic for streaming. Thing is, I hate not being able to hear myself speak. But I don't really want my mic picking up too much leakage.

And it's for plugging directly into a PS5 controller, so it needs to be an all in one solution. Mic sound might even be priority over audio quality, but obviously that is important as well. Is open air even possible? Will semi open give me the effect of being able to hear myself and my volume clearly? I know i can get the boom mic separately, but I don't know what's good there either.

I know it's a weird one, but it's been killing me. Any help is appreciated. Save me from the world of Amazon reviews.

I use the Philips SHP9500 with a Vmoda BoomPro Mic for Zoom and Teams calls. I've asked people and they say it sounds clear and they don't hear an echo. Can't speak to louder volume levels with mic bleed. I use them for gaming but primarily racing.

SHP9600 is $60 on Amazon US right now, $15 for the mic. Personally, I like the 9500 better but I think it's being phased out.

Thanks, those were the ones I was eyeing. There is a version with a detachable mic. Am I to assume that mic is worse than the Vmoda?

That was my assumption. I've had the Vmoda mic for three years and it still works perfectly.
