ok, so my laptop is busted. I'm toying with the idea of building a new computer soon, so I'm looking for some hardware suggestions. I want to have a little fun with this.
If you have any comments/recommendations on the following items, please post.
1.) Dual processor motherboards.
which is better? dual athlon mp, or dual pentium xeon? is there a dual pentium 4 board?
2.) gigabit ethernet cards (low latency would be great, but cost is more important)
3.) gigabit switches (are there any cheap ones? I need at least 4 ports)
4.) power supplies (how many watts do dual boards need?)
5.) decent graphics card.
I'm going to need several of 1, 2, and 4, so price is very important
