I have an M-Audio Delta AP192 internal sound card. The thing that sucks is it has a break-out cable but none of the leads are RCA. So I have these microphone to RCA adaptors in order to be able to plug my stereo amplifier into the sound card.

Now, the sound is falling out half the time from one of the channels which I attribute to the breakout cable / adaptor mess.

I just want a clean path from my soundcard to RCA plugs.

Any suggestions?

The Audiotrak Prodigy HD2

Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 Gold Sound Card

RCA out's...Headphone amp...Optical in...Rollable op-amps...VIA Envy ICE chip...AKM DAC.

They are back ordered from the factory till mid-May...floridamusic is a inexpensive place to get them...Just have to wait.

Not a gamer or surround sound card...But for music and headphone use it is a steal...In my humble opinion of course !!!!!

And it only cost 79 bones

The ESI Juli@ could be a tad on the expensive side depending on what you were looking to spend, but it's an incredibly versatile card and is very pleasant to listen to.

2nd vote for the ESI Juli@. You can swap out the RCA inputs to the balanced TRS and vice versa.

I have two PCs using the M-audio Audiophile 192 using adapters which rarely slip out and I find the sound is excellent.

If you otherwise like the sound card, why not make (or have a friend make) a cable with phone plugs at one end and RCAs at the other? A cheap and dirty way to find out whether the issues you're having are based on adapters/cables slipping out (before spending any money) is to simply tape them together using masking tape to eliminate possibility of slippage. If this doesn't solve the issues, it is more likely to be the breakout assembly itself which could be replaced, possibly under warranty.

If you do want to replace the card, you have received some excellent suggestions from others.

Just ditch the adaptors and get a pre-terminated TRS-to-RCA cable from any pro audio music store - check if the card side needs to be wired single-ended or not.

I just ordered one of these from Florida Music ... I look forward to checking it out and sharing my experience with it. ....
