Need CDPlayer

Please reccommend me a good CD player cost around $300-$500.
I will use it as a transporter to feed the Stello DA100.

If you are going to use it as a transport get a cheap DVD like the Philips DVP642 for under $65 including S&H. No need to pay the $450 or so for an NAD C542 IMO.

I think the Coax out of the CDP is better than the cheap DVD.
Do you think they are about the same quality?
If it's true then I save a lot of money.

I also have the DVP642 and the digital out on it is (to me anyway) indistinguishable from the digital out on my 2 proper CD players, this caused me to sell one of them and use the money to buy CDs. I have never regretted this decision.

My only reservation about the Philips is that is isnt the most reliable unit in the world, the coax out on mine fell over, but the optical out still works fine, anyway at it's low price it is a low risk gamble.
