Hey I'm new to these forums, and I'm glad I've found a place where there are other audiophiles other than my dad.

I recently purchased a pair of HD590's (also a pair of HD600's for 185 euros!! My dad has possetion of these lovely headphones) and a Nomad Jukebox 3 which I'm very happy with. I was considering the benefit of adding a Total Airhead portable amp to this configuration.

Would this improve the performance of the HD590's a lot or a bit, and how much better would they sound?

I've never heard the HD-590s, but I can say that the HD-600s are greatly improved by an amp, even a relatively low cost one such as the Total Airhead. Hopefully, others here, who have the HD-590s, can comment on their improvement with an amp. Also, a search of the forums might yield some answers to your question. Hope this helps.
