Hi,
Currently I own an Audio-GD Compass, and use it to pair with my Bayer DT990/600 ohm. The sound is fine for me, but sometimes I feel like the sound is not that alive. I'm thinking about an upgrade from my Compass, but I don't know which direction should I go first, buy a better DAC or upgrade to a better amp to replace the relative function of the Compass. My budget is up to $500, but if it could be between $300-$400 is preferable. Also, for this price range, what is the best choice I can go? I know for DAC, I can choose Dacmage while for the amp, I can go for Audio-GD C2. Could anyone give me some advice? Thanks!!!
