I'm badly need an portable amp for my HD650 and K701 and what I need is the amp-only (not DAC)

My budget is up to $250 so which one is the best on these range ? Could you guys help me on this? I'm kind of new to head-fi

you may want to look at a desktop amp since that is more suited to drive harder to drive cans like the k701

Triad Lisa III? Slight more than double your budget but it powers the HD650 quite well IMHO. No small portable can power the HD650 or the K701. You should get some IEM's or portable headphones for office and outdoors instead of hunting down a portable amp which can power those two power hungry headphones.

100% definitely not. Even my Headsix (DAC-less version of the Corda 2Move) can't even power my Ultrasone PRO750's well.

A pico powered the Denon D2000's well IMHO but I don't like Denons.

And *cough*, my Headsix has a few issues described in this thread. But if you still want to buy it or discuss about it, send me a PM.

in my experience, 2move drove hd650, dt990 and hd600 quite will.
headsix also did a good job with dt990 and hd580.
