I am a total newbie when it comes to headphones. I know very little of the sort. Basically what I am looking for is a can that will be good for 3d shooters such as Counter-Strike but will also sound decent when plugged into my Rio Volt. My limit is around $200 and I would prefer not having to get two pairs. I have had the Sony MDR-V6s reccomended to me but they seem a little cheap to me. Any advise? Also please give me places where I can order the headphones online.

I personally prefer closed cans to open ones for gaming. The Sony V6 are great for this application (they are what I use). The next step up would probably be the Beyer DT250-80, which are around $150. I've recommended these to several friends who are avid gamers, and they can't say enough about them.
