Hi everyone,
 
My ATH A700s recently broke (although they lasted 6+ years). They've served me well but I'm looking to buy new headphones -- although I don't mind purchasing the same ones again, haha.
 
So I was looking at the following:
 
ATH A700 (again)
or
 
AKG K702
Sennheiser HD 598
ATH A900
 
Does anyone have experience with these/make any recommendations for which would suit me?
 
I generally use them for extended periods of time when I listen to music as I do work/study/browse internet. I also play games (cs, dota, etc.) a lot so I think having a good sound stage is necessary (right? or am I wrong about that? I know very little about sound equipment).

DT990s might work, they're incredibly comfortable and a good price

I'm not sure what resistance version to look at but on amazon they are upwards of 300 dollars. My budget is probably $240 max.

you're looking at the premium version, the pro is $151
 
what are you going to be driving them out of? do you have a soundcard? amp?

I have access to a Xonar Essence STX but until now I just used the onboard one with my Asrock Z77 mobo (SORRY!)

that should be fine then 250 ohm DT990 is what I recommend
 
asrock gets a lot of hate, but they have pretty great budget MoBos

Heres a comparison thread about the DT770 and ATH-A900x, since I can't give any insight for the A900x, never used it.
