Need a suggestion for closed cans 100 USD or less.

Have a friend looking for a set of cans in the 100 range of less and could use some suggestions. This is by no means my comfort zone. I am far more knowledgeable about items. I did let him listen to my HD 439 hooked up to my ipod and a3 amp and he enjoyed them and have access the HD 419 that he can listen to. This will give him two different sound curves that I can go off. But anything you guys can suggest would be great. He is  a bass player so will use it hooked up to his amp as well as portable player or phone and computer for movies and music.

I would tell him to save up a bit and get the SoundMAGIC HP150.
