Two years ago I saw ljokerl's threads about the america spark: http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-289-iems-compared-t-peos-h-100-added-07-14-13-p-730 and http://www.head-fi.org/t/596572/review-id-america-spark-striking-meets-powerful. I bought them and have been using them extensively for two years. However, just yesterday the left earbud stopped working. I can currently buy another pair of Id America Sparks for $30 on amazon ($25 + $5). Here are a few questions that I have:
• Are there any IEMs with a price around $30 and below that can be considered as "better" than the Id America Sparks in terms of sound quality?
• In terms of this thread is the Id America Spark considered Warm + Sweet or Bass? (or something else)
• What I liked the most about the Id America Spark was the build quality (full aluminum). I shy away from plastic builds because they just feel "cheaper" to me. However, if there is a plastic IEM about $30 that is superior than the Id America Spark in terms of sound quality, feel free to recommend it.
