I know threads like this get old after a while, but please bear with me. I will be living in a dorm room with a room mate next year so i need a good set of closed headphones in order to listen to my music/computer games/television/etc. without bothering him. It seems my options in my price range are currently the Beyerdynamic Dt 770 or DT 250-80, which are $130 and $145 respectively from meier audio, and the Sennheiser HD 280 pro, which is $100 from headroom. I was also looking at the Sony V6/7506 since they are held in pretty high reguard in these forums, but coming from Etymotic ER-6, which i currently own, i do not know how well they would hold up. Any input on how these headphones compare would be great. Thanks.

Audio-technica are held in high regard, and I own the A55, and I like it. Check em out at www.audio-cubes.com

Do some searches on them.

D'oh. You just missed my comparison between the Audio technica's and the hd 280s. Care to reconsider?

You have to order them from www.audio-cubes.com

search the forums, plus I just did a full review on them earlier today. It's in the middle of the page. The cost about $118 after shipping is included

woops, sorry about that.
If you just ordered them you have a good chance of stopping it. You can also return them in 30 days if you don't like them, is what I've heard.

I know that Audio cubes is reputable, and they will have your headphones by next week. They are sent from Japan, but they are trustworthy.

It's your call. Do whatever your comfortable with.
