Need a headphone recommendation

I am buying my cousin a set of headphones for recording guitar on his new Mac I got him but he will also be using them for recreational listening. He's pretty new to the HiFi stuff but I want to set him off right.

I'm hoping to spend between $100 - $150 because the Mac was a lot. Anyway, they need to be pretty good at isolating and preferably no leaking. Some leaking is ok, but preferably none.

I'm open to most suggestions, I'm partial to IEM's so I don't know much about full earphones beyond my little SR-60's.

What type of music does he listen to? Without knowing I'll recommend the ES7.

Mostly alternative rock but he does venture into the heavier rock genres. But being my nephew and a guitar player, he does enjoy good blues.

Save some money.
Get JVC HA-RX900s.
