So right now I have been getting into high end audio. I am looking for a good pair of headphones that sounds good with pop and rap music as well as some female vocalist and a little bit of rock music. I have mostly narrowed it down to the senhizer HD 700 and the hifiman he 400i becuase they are similarly priced but I'm open to suggestions. I would also like something that's looks okay and comfort is a must. I really like clean bass as well. Thanks for any suggestions or comments :)

I highly doubt the HD700 is what you're looking for as it is not really suited for pop, rap, rock...etc. The bass is present but won't hit as hard as planars like the 400i. I do say the HD700 is more suited for classic & acoustic from my experience.

Yeah...

HD700 might work well with some of your recordings but it might rule out good part of them.
HE400i could be a better all-rounder. Same would apply to HD650.

With my Bottlehead Crack the 700's are very good with bass I have to say. Better than my HE-400S or 400's. Have not heard the 400i's so can't say. The soundstage is much bigger and detail there is no comparison . The HD-700's are much maligned and in my opinion too much so. Just my opinion .
