Happy Friday to all
Since my (far from faithful) Marantz CC4300 keeled over I now need a "half decent" 5 disc CD changer. I have the option of a used Marantz CC67 (sans remote) for $90 - would this be reasonable?
I dont really want to spend too much, I dont need SACD, HDCD, DV-A, MP3 or MSG just ye olde 2 channel 16bit 44.1Khz red book. It will not be connected thru the TV so anything with onscreen menu is not a goer.
Any suggestions for a usable sub $220 (new or used) changer.
It does not have to be the last word in sound quality, I have a better player for critical listening, but it needs to be better than just plain awful, it will only do rare duty (Christmas and when the wife is away on conferences) so it needs to be capable of being left for months on end without mysteriously breaking the first time you try to use it - like the Marantz just did
Cheers
Jim
