Hello all,

This is my first post. I have been reading my eyes bloody here trying to figure this out. My source is a Sansa Clip. I have developed Tinnitus and been playing around with different sounds trying to manipulate the high pitched tone in my right ear. It sometime works. Therefore, with a DJ style headset I can lift up the opposite earpiece when need be, and also block out external noise. I also listen to primarily electric Jazz music which is quite dynamic. I don't like real high "bright" treble, and always liked a "warmer" sound. However, I do need a good enough set to reproduce very high pitched tones (purple noise 10K+) and very low tones as well.

I can't spend more that $50.00 or so if that is even possible. I guess I need a closed ear version of a Koss Portapro or something.... Any ideas? Do I need to spend more? Thank you!

The JVC HA-S700 probably has the best isolation in the price range, with the JVC HA-M750 doing pretty well too. I haven't tried the cheaper M650 but maybe someone else has. Another one you may want to take a look at is the Denon AH-P372. None of these are really dj-style but on the S700 you can flip the cups outward.

I was looking at the JVC HA-S700, but the shoot-out review wasn't that hot... maybe because it was up against some of the best I guess. Perhaps I'll take a shot at it.

I'm also rethinking my IEM as well... but I need something accurate, dynamic and forward for electric Jazz music for around $50. I have a set of Skull-Candy Asyms I bought before I found this forum. They are very forward but the bass is "mushy" and undefined. But, they fit in my ear well. Any ideas for this?
