Wow, I haven't been here in a while...
Anyway, in the few months without Head-Fi, I haven't really thought about headphones much, as I've been extremely satisifed with my KSC-75's (YES! no upgraditis
). However, I don't want to blow my hearing trying to use them while doing yard work/mowing the lawn. I probably could go a little higher, just try to keep it <100. I like the sound signature of my KSC's though I wouldn't mind trying something different. I see the CX-300's are on Amazon for $50, so I want something around that price range. How do they do with rock/metal?
I guess my biggest factors are isolation and at-least-better-than-iBud-sound.
Bands I listen to these days: The Flaming Lips, Opeth, Tool, System of a Down, Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Porcupine Tree...
