Neckband

Neckband? Like behind the neck "streetstyle" type? The only good ones I know are manufactured by Koss. You should check out the Koss Sportapro - it's $30 retail, but only $25 at amazon.

The Koss KSC-55 goes for around $15-20, but I've heard it's a very uncomfortable phone to wear. Use the "search" function on this site to look up some more info on these phones. Headphone.com has some reviews and pictures of these products, you can check them out there if you like.

I did have a look at the koss sporta pro. It look um... kinda ugly. I mean neckband are suppose to be stylish.
The koss KSC 55 are nicer, but iz it so much uncomfortable. As long as it does not flatten my ear cartillage and hurt me for few hours of music. I think i would be fine with it.
Is there any other neckband models out there that might be interesting? I'm sure others might wanna know as well. "'The Best Neckband Style Headphones Ever Existed On The Face of Earth'"

cLy_eLiZ,

Besides the two Kosses mentioned, none of the other behind-the-neck headphones in the under-$30 range (Sony, other Koss, Philips et al) sound all that much better than the freebie headphones that portable CD player makers throw in with their units.

What about the Koss KSC-35's? They sound good, are fairly fashionable earclips, are reputed to be unbelievably comfortable, and should be just right around your price range. On sale, it would be within your price range for sure. The neckband style doesn't seem to be much discussed here in these forums. Most likely it's for a good reason, but in any case, if there is a good pair out there, I'd be curious about it as well.

is there even a place to buy KC-35 anymore? I thought that no one before you mentioned these because at this point you can only get them used. Not to mention their styling is not up to date, and that seems to be what this inquery is for, cheap stylish phones.

I believe you can find them online. I wouldn't say that the KSC-35s were in season, but I don't think they're ugly either.

It depends on what you think "stylish" is. I don't know what cLy_eLiz thinks is stylish. I buy phones to listen to music and not based on looks. Some people say the KSC-35s are ugly and that the KSC-50s which replaced them are more stylish, but personally I don't really like how they look. I've looked for KSC-35s, and your only hope is to find them used somewhere. I found one or two places online to get them new in my search, but only at absurd prices (~$70).

If style is what determines a headphone's "best value" for you, cLy_eLiz, just look around at flashy Sonys in your nearest electronics store and pick one. I don't mean to be rude in saying this, but the truth is you are at a Hi-Fi website and most neckband headphones sound the same and sound bad.
