I've been viewing Venus early in the morning for a month or so. Within the past few weeks, Saturn has become visible to the lower left of Mercury in the early morning. There's also a third star directly between the two that has been "hanging out" the past few days. I've been observing this trio (especially the crescent Venus and Saturn's rings) via my Aunt's telescope she let me borrow.
Also, if you have noticed, the moon is becoming a thin crescent. The other night, I saw it directly on the horizon and it was BLOOD red. I've never seen the moon like this before.
Anyhow, the next two days, Venus, Saturn, Regulus (the third mystery star), and the Moon will be aligning in weird ways. Venus Regulus and Saturn will be forming a wide triangle. Saturday morning, the Moon will be directly above this triangle. On Sunday morning, the Moon will be directly INSIDE this triangle.
If you have a telescope and are up early mornings go take a look! 3:20 local time is when Venus will rise, 4:30-5am will be a good time to view the event! Note, this is for the Northern Hemisphere, I'm unfamiliar with sightings in the Southern Hemisphere.
Edit:
This is due East. Saturday has passed (silly me, I was viewing it all this morning, but I forgot it was Saturday already). So tomorrow morning is when it's gonna be really neat.
