Hi All,
A great time today!
Thanks to Tom @kilkil for hosting again :)

The venue is superb and newly renovated ...
Especially in the autumn of the year, when Tennessee is beautiful (see the pics).
Tom estimated we missed the peak by about 2-3 days ... getting tougher to predict the peak color!

The company could not be better. Great hobby knowledge, gear and discussion.
And, the whiskey collection was superb. Thanks to Brent, Joe and Tom.
With special thanks to Joe for presenting the high-end Chinese liquor -- a drink we could never match here in the US!
Joe - what exactly is that drink ... ?

Y'all folks (who didn't attend), close to middle Tennessee - don't miss the next one.

The audio gear was TOTL and ever changing ...
We were able to hear the Abyss and Audez'e LCDi4 thanks to Brent.
Also the Sennheiser HD820 thanks to Joe.

Annette commented that the Abyss sound like the HD800 on steroids. Look out, Mr. Wallet.
The LCDi4 sound so good that I may reinvest in in-ear, after gifting away my Shure SE846.

I have a few pictures to share ...

The bar in action ... quite a variety!

Angels Envy Cask 2016-2018.JPG
Angel's Envy Cask Strength 2016 - 2017 - 2018. AMAZING, Brent!

Views from Tom's back deck of Center Hill Lake ... uber sublime!

Oh. There were headphones there, too.

I had a great time, I'm glad y'all were able to make it. As usual excellent company.
I actually listened to some items this meet, the one thing that really impressed me was @buke9 Abyss. I listened to it with my dynahi and compared with my Quads. I think I preferred the sound of the Abyss.
As for bourbon, envy cask 2018 is excellent. My new favorite. I think I also found my favorite rye, another angels envy.

Yeah Randy ... new batteries are cool, but we really want to know if you bagged a hog!
Inquiring minds need to know, you know :)

Ok ok
So I sat out from dusk until 10pm
It rained and rained and then rained some more so I went back to the cabin to get caught up on sleep
For some reason the night before I drank too much and slept too little
But
This morning I put the final touches on my deer standing camo material and silent swivel recliner
Double checked the scopes on two rifles shot 6 rounds out of each then adjusted the height of the chair...and...
I hear a deer blow...pufffff!!!
I turn around a nice big buck walks out
Never saw me, as I sat there with an empty rifle on my lap and two weeks until gun season
I told him, “try that in two weeks, I double dare you”

Tom and Brent, is this the same Angel's Envy rye that was at the meet?
Annette found this at our shop today ... it was $90.
95% rye mash finished in caribbean rum casks. 100 proof.

Very spicy and tasty ... think I'm becoming a rye fan!
