@buke9, How do you like this years Angels Envy Cask compared to the other years?

No where near as special, but i do have their standard bourbon for a fourth data point comparison.

It’s pretty good like it bit more than 17 but not as much as the 16. Not a higher Rye like the 17 more in line with the 16 as far as notes . Just love the new display box .

It is close enough now for the 10-day weather forecast, it is going to be a bit cold, as expected for Nov.
The leaves are starting to change color, it looks like we won't have any strong winds before the meet, thus it should be pretty.

Nice! We're in the Smoky Mtns and very little color over here ...

Decent - Angel's Envy cask strength for three years. I remember the 2016 as being superb!
That display box certainly is cool -

If you liked the 2016 you will like the 2018 it has a bit more spice to it but pretty close to the 2016.
Have a new piece of gear also the Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark by Alex Cavalli. It is close to the original Spark but wanted the portable version so had to take a shot for $99. It loves planars runs the HE-500’s very well but trips the safety on the HD-800’s before it gets close to a good volume .

Sounds like this is shaping up to be an excellent Mead unfortunately there were too many pending PTO requestst before I put in mind so I'm not going to be able to make it this time around

Friday I was asked to work on a pressing big project in MO next weekend (and several more weekends coming up at other sites). This being the new incoming owner, I have to not just do it, but jump with some demonstration of enthusiasm.

So unfortunately, I'm going to have to miss what's shaping up to be a really nice time. I'm really bummed and was really looking forward to this.

Sorry I'll miss and hope everybody else has better luck and has a great time!

CJ

Out of curiosity, what's the story with your avatar pic?
It’s hilarious the model is holding a soldering iron at the tip like it is a test probe or something . I guess one reason to put warnings on things.

We are traveling light as well ... AK240 and LCD-4.

There was more color on the Cumberland plateau than in the Smoky mountains, although next week should become spectacular.
I imagine the view from Tom's balcony overlooking Center Hill Lake will be just great!

I think we'll bring a bottle of Jack Daniel's Barrel Proof.
Rings in around 130 proof. Completely different (better) than any of the blended Jacks, including Single Barrel.

See y'all soon!
Dick and Annette

ps. Annette will bring jambalaya again.

Will probably bring the Kenzie to listen to the @MattTCG Ether 2’s (if he makes it) as they are so good from it but won’t have the Yggy though as it is still down but the Mojo isn’t too bad. Liquid Spark, Liquid Carbon and CTH for amps also along with the QP1R.
For headphones likely ones will be the Abyss,HE-500,Ether-C,HD-800,LCDi4 and probably a couple of others for the new guy @jr4jc .
For Bourbons 16,17 and 2018 Angels Envy cast strengths plus a few ryes Sazerac , Michter’s Single Barrel and a Angels Envy Finished Rye plus a few other Bourbons what fills up the box so plenty for our tasting pleasure : )

Love that ... it is really more of a Mead than a Meet. Perhaps we should announce it that way, Tom. :)
And Brent, if I've said it once I've thought it a hundred times ... YOU ARE THE MAN!

Happy Sunday. See you next w/e.
