Friend of a friend found this headset, which appears to be an aviation headset. It is generally in very good condition and probably fairly new. The cable however is unterminated, end was cut off. There's the connector and boom for a mic, but no mic. It comes with cloth covers to put over the pads/drivers. The drivers are 300 ohm. Any identifying labels have been removed.

Just a curiosity.

I'm not familiar with commercial headsets and was wondering if this one could be identified specifically by its design.

Sure looks like they have the same OEM. And the headband on some of the DCs is a dead ringer for those of a once-famous dead headphone company, Sharpe.

Oh! Hmm, yeah. Those do look like it as well.

Ah, yes. Everything is related, as you've said.

It's certainly the most similar to the flightcom headsets - from the pictures I can find, the headband matches that of the 4DLX, while the frame of the mic boom matches that of the 4DX, though the mount is a bit different. Definitely related, I wonder if it's an older model or OEM perhaps. It may have even had parts replaced by the owner, though it doesn't look it.

It's interesting to hunt for in any case, thanks for the help. Learned a couple things in the search as well.
