Alright, from an ebay listing...

Text: These are great headphones and they're in excellent condition. They're Audio-Technica ART headphones - brown and silver, very good sound and solid build. The padding around the ears is really soft and the leather is so comfortable when you're listening to music. It has a long cord so you can watch DVDs with them at home or you can take it on the road and walk around with them. Originally bought them for $340.00 and I hate to part with the headphones, but I'm using a different pair now and they're just sitting around now.

I've looked all through the JP Technica page but have not found them. The closest thing so far has been a9x 's, but they are a different color. Any help would be appreciated.

The A100Ti is a very distinctive blue so I'm sure it's not that. I would say it's an A9X, that's the only AT I know of that was a shiny silver but he/she wouldn't have paid $340.00 for an A9X.

Definitely the ATH-A9X.

Unfortunately I haven't heard them so I can't comment. If you're set on them, considering you can pick up a new A900 for $180ish I suppose about $100 should be a fair price if they are in very good condition.

So does Audio-technica make multiple colors of their other products as well? Because the only other a9x's around appear to be aluminum colored.

My guess is you mean the silver doesn't "appear" to be silver. My guess is your seeing reflections from the surroundings which is giving it an almost champagne tinge also the flash is washing out the color on the headband to look like a grey or silver. I think in reality though the earcups are a shiny aluminum and the rest of the hardware a darker color than what appears in the pics.

I have the A100ti, and that is definitely a "no". I'm sure that this silver headphone is ATH-A9X.

I owned the ATH-A9X and it's no doubt that same headphone in this auction. The black plastic is actually a more brownish color as is the cable contrary to what's shown in every stock photo I've ever seen.

Why is the cable brown? Why is the plastic brown? I guess they wanted to make the headphones unappealing... I don't know.
