Does anyone know where to order one? You know, the external battery pack that fits 2 AA. Or a rechargeable one like that? The seller couldn't find it, but I bought the MD recorder anyway.

unless you can find it at minidisco.com...you might try ordering from Sony. be prepared to shell out big bucks then tho..

i've done this before.

Email sony. Ask them for a list of names, addresses, and phone numbers of Official Sony Parts Distributors in your area. Hopefully there will be at least one.

Contact them, best to go in person. Show them the unit, they'll bring out a booklet that looks like an instruction manual on steroids. It will list all the available accessories for that unit. They will tell you if they can order it or not. If they can, be prepared to pay A LOT more than you expected.

I got a sony display remote this way for the mz-r50, and it cost me $100CAN...

It has the LIP-8 batter for about $24. I have never ordered from them, but it's 1/3 the price sony used to ask for them.
