MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY
Sep 19, 2024 at 3:51 PM Post #1,487 of 1,505
I've returned to this thread several times and hadn't read this wonderful tip. I made this simple and totally reversible mod and the MS3.2 is now sounding just the way I like it... similar to the K1000 haha, my eternal reference.

Thank you! Really!
Maybe it would be easier to try the T (for Transparent) pads?

Just sitting here listening to these brilliant head speakers and finding everything I hear sounding mind blowingly good, music I normally don't like I'm listening to. The longer I own these the more I love them

Any way to get shorter 4.4mm cable for Mysphere? The manufacturer supplied one is way too long.
I bought a hart audio cable for a shorter 4.4mm and I've been happy with it.

Same. I got done testing some new gear and went back to listening to ole reliable Mysphere 3.2. Man... Obviously the resolution and transparent mids are top. But man the imaging deserves so much praise as well. I am currently running 2A3 tubes on my preamp and I just got this perfect phantom center stage imaging. And then strings start playing in stage right and left and the music just comes together. The sound doesn't really sound like it's coming from a particular direction to my ear. It sounds like it just appears from its amazing black background like a real stage. The phantom imaging on this headphone is scarily good. Longer listening comes with longer appreciation.

What’s your source?
M2 Tech Young Mkiv/VgMkii - Flux Volot

I have a Norne xlr cable for these that really make a difference in transparency and imaging but it makes them less all arounders than the stock cable imo. Nice to have a system that fits my two top cans in MySphere and Susvara

Enjoying the MySphere 3.2 off the SAEQ Armageddon/Bricasti M1. I am using the Eletech Aristotle cable which @Eric Chong kindly made for me. Gives it a nice fullness while still being detailed.

I would have expected a nicer looking (and less chunky) cable from Hart Audio - oh well. Personally, I'd order the angled connector from Heinz (see above email) and get Arctic cables to build one from their Core cable series.
It's a lovely headphone - I'm trying the T pads with Oratory1990 EQ - sounds wonderful. Crinacle EQ I'll compare, but that's for the B pads.

This may seem a bit naive but could someone tell me if these terminations would work on my MS 3.1 (Aeco 3.5mm )?

https://www.head-fi.org/classifieds...-arya-he1000se-susvara-headphone-cable.73469/

The cable is my least favorite part of the HP and I’d like to get a lavri grand silver 4 or 8 strand at some point but waiting for a used price option to pop up. I also don’t want to pay lavri 100+ to reterminate, I do find it a bit frustrating that they chose a non standard termination tyke and also not sure on stock where it’s 1 sided vs an aftermarket with two connections.

This one won’t work.
You absolutely need a 3.5mm TRRS on the headphone’s side.

What is it you don’t like with the original Mysphere cable?
I consider it a good quality one in all regards, and the angled connector is exactly what’s needed.

Are MySphere's still being produced and sold? They need to be. Just got the Composer and while excellent I'm not sure yet if they are as good as MySphere or not. Not sure yet

I Woo Audio is still selling them in US. If my Mysphere died and I couldn’t get it repaired I would consider to replace it with the Composer. How would you compare the two?
