Mylarone x3i and Denon ah-c351:who has tried these eraphones?

The build quality of the X3i is questionable. if you are going to take care of them then they will be fine. If you are not going to put them in the case, don't expect a year out of them. I have not heard the C351, but I hear it is an upgrade to the Senn CX300. The X3i is much better then the X3i IMHO. Tighter bass, better detail. I LOVE Denon canalphones though. The C700 has been my favorite for several months now.

I figure if you are going to spend $57 on the X3i, pay an extra $10 and get the Denon C551 while they are on sale (usually $99). Much better then both of these phones.

I had read that mylarone X3i are better of the old X3 and with more good bass.
The Denon have the advantage that I can buy also in Italy but here C551 is much more expensive than C351 but of this model I have found few opinions.

Not really. X3i has a totally different sound sig than the old X3: it's more flat compared to the warmer X3 with its colored mids. I wouldn't say it's better, it's different.

The post office was already closed by the time I went to my flat to get the pick-up notice in my mailbox so I will have to wait until tomorrow to try the C700.

I have read in vr-zone forum that the X3i is better then old and in review in this forum confirm :http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/rev...3i-xbi-268094/
But I thinks that the Denon perhaps are more adapted for me.
I want good bass without to sacrifice mid and high too much, good build quality, good confort for long listen moreover I prefer no great isolation. I would want opinions if I can find all this also in the economic model ch-a351.
Or instead mylarone (or other models not too much expensive) is better?

I have the Denon 351, they were an impulse buy from Target when I went one sunny day.

At first listen, they sounded bad. But, I let them play at work all weekend and when I came back they had improved significantly. They are a good-sounding budget IEM. They do have a very healthy amount of bass, and a generally pleasing sound. Comfort was one of my issues; my ears would begin to ache after a bit of listening. It could be my ears are funny, or I was pushing them in too far.

For comparison, I would take them over the Shure e2c any day.

They seem well put-together. They are plastic, so lightweight and a little "budget product" feeling. As for isolation, you will be able to hear the outside world. It will be in the background and not bother you unless you aren't listening to any music, but it will be present.

Now...after the weekend I let them go and came back to listen and they had improved...I bought the Denon 551's, and have not regretted it at all. They are more comfortable, better-built, more solid feeling, and improved the sound in every way, in a very noticeable way. But in the US at least they really aren't that much more expensive, so it wasn't a huge deal to upgrade. And, I actually just put the 351 back in last night just to remind myself how they sound, and I could be content with them if nobody had told me about the 551 (I'm one of those people who really can't enjoy something when he knows there's a "higher" model out there that really makes a difference). And like I said, I think they are miles above the Shure e2c in sound.

Me it seems that your opinion is not negative and for my expectations they could go well but I am perplexed for the comfort because I listen also for some hours. I am new of the forum, but it has been said "eye to your wallett" and is true: you are putting me desire to buy the c551 but currently I would want to limit my target

I think I prefer the older X3. Sure, the bass is lacking but it has very clear mids unlike the X3i which seems to sacrifice it for bass! Besides, I don't think I'm going through all the pain again of sending Mylar phones back to Jaben because of sudden disintegrations. The QC for these phones is seriously bad. All in all, if you buy an X3i to replace the X3 you are best prepared for a big surprise.

And now I have the C700, it blows my old X3 away to kingdom come and to think that it hasn't been burned in yet. Now I know what it means to hear a high-end canalphone.

The Denon's truly are a remarkable canalphone. If they use the same principals in the C351 then it will kill the X3i in quality and sound.

ok Denon it is winning on Mylarone. I don't have experience of earphones if not those of equipment to the mp3. I thinks that their critical point is the cable.
I would want understand the time of life of good level earphone (Denon, Shure etc)
Because if after one year an earphone bought 150$ needs of being replacing is not is a good thing
