If I take her to dinner she knows how much it costs and will tell me we don't need to spend the money. She works in Payroll, she is frugal. If we go away for the weekend she knows how much it cost. The only things I can buy her are flowers and jewelry. She never finds out how much they were. She has a lot of jewelry.

I've had a bad day, bad two weeks in fact. Today was the worst of all of them so far. My husband gave me a link to an article from alt news about how people are basically evil at heart, and here's the study that proves it.

My Head-fi habits have no bearing. I just felt so much for her when she called me. She did find out but not how much they cost. It is something if she has no say of cost or design of it. She is a very demanding woman with standards.Vary proud to have her as my wife.

What I'd be interested to know is what made her day so bad to require that gift. Sounds bastardy, but for some girls (and guys...) it could be just one legitimately terrible thing, others it could be a short series of 2-4 small things to knock their confidence to bring on the 'woahas me, the world sucks' mood.
