What I mean is that with other phones I've used, it was easy to pick out a certain frequency region that was highlighted or recessed. I'm not saying that E4 is better than the rest. Certainly, I like E4 more than my previous canalphone- ER4P.

I still do prefer full sized cans at home. For a brief comparison:
The E4 is not as detailed or textured as K1000. The soundstage is smaller and not as defined- harder to pick out individual instruments. Most of all, the K1000 projects sound so naturally that I can forget there are two ugly metal cages next to my ears
