My Shure E500 left channel stopped working

I had read previously about a lot of people having problem with the cable, but I wasn't prepared for this at all.

I used them for about 20-30 hours and the original buyer used them for 20 hours. I did not abuse them in any way, I was always very careful. I'm starting to think there's a serious quality problem with these IEMs...

Anyway, I'll contact the customer support on Monday. The only problem is that I don't have any receipt or facture, and I sold the PTH unit that came with them. I hope they won't give me too much trouble.

The number on the cable is 2336, so they have been manufactured in 2006.

my 1st pair of E500's did the same thing out of the box, i had to pry them apart at the Y to get left channel to work.

Anyway, i think the E530's are available without the PTH, maybe you can ask to be sent those as RMA.
