here are some pics of my other hobby.

This is a jewelry box I made for my girlfriend.
it has a fake bottom with comes out to show the squared divisions.
it was done from scratch using wood and leather and total building time was about 20 hours( a very long weekend

Does anyone also like woodworking and leatherworking?

Wow, that's great work! It must be hard working that leather in like that! She must love it.

I admit my "handyman" days are long past, and the only time I whip out the electric drill is to fix things around the house (closet and pantry doors, chair frames, etc).

You don't need lots of tools to do such a case. The only "big" tool I have is an horizontal telescopic saw. And I only use it to cut the large panel's
All the small pieces such as the squared grid are cut with a small hand saw. The leather is cut with a x-acto knife.

I then have all these small leather working tools mo mold and shape, etc

I am going to build some wooden boxes for my DIY stuff.,but I'm not sure I will use leather!

Here is some other stuff!

My bedside table build of sandblasted pinewood. The doors are also pinewood covered with a (time-consuming) leather pattern( I don't know the english word for it).
The little box was made long time ago( when I was about 11) with the ehlp of my father. He cut all the wood and leather( no dangerous tools for a 11 year old

Nice box! I love woodworking, and my goal is to one day have a house with a woodshop. I made a decent oak box with a purpleheart inlay back in HS for my mom, and Ive made a couple of speakers and such but now I am stuck in my apartment with no tools or anything.
